Capacity Building of stakeholders under Pakistan Earthquake Child Labour Response (PECLR) of ILO-IPEC

The Pakistan Earthquake – Child Labour Response (PECLR) is a three-year initiative under the International Programme for the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC) of the International Labour Organization (ILO) funded by the United States Department of Labour. This project was developed as a response to assist the efforts of the Government of Pakistan (GoP) to address the issue of child labour in affected areas.

SDF has been awarded a component of this project for the capacity building of stakeholders. SDF has identified fourteen different groups of stakeholders including but not limited to NGOs/INGOs, UN Agencies, Pakistan Workers Welfare Organizations, Print and electronic media, Judiciary and Law Enforcement Agencies, Ulema and line departments of District Government.

Apart from the training of stakeholders, sensitization and mobilization of the stakeholders has a fundamental role in this project.
